The Crystal Lounge in Whistler BC has held a weekly Karaoke night for over 10 years. Monty Biggins was approached to take the reigns in the summer of 2016. Having hosted many events for The Crystal Lounge as Jam Night host and for live music events with give-aways, it was an easy transition into the Karaoke realm. Monty Biggins hosts Thursday Night Karaoke nights at Blacks Pub in Whistler BC. A new offering to Whistler, the night has taken off. It offers an intimate experience to engage in Karaoke with friends. Being a smaller venue capacity, the night is great for groups looking for a fun night out. Bachelor and Stagette parties, Birthdays, groups of co-workers, this night can cater to your group in an atmosphere that feels more like a house party than a night at the bar.
If you're lucky, staff members will take to the microphone including the Manager who enjoys singing Bob Marley to Old School Hip Hop and the Bartenders who've been known to do anything from Eminem to Amy Winehouse. The staff are encouraged to take part, which brings the room together for some ups and downs. It's not about talent, it's about good times and singing together!
